Garage bay rental
A DIY garage near Greenville, NC
A self-service garage, also called a DIY auto shop, rents you the space and equipment to repair your own car. There are no mechanics doing the work. You do, in a proper bay.
How it differs from a repair shop
- A repair shop does the work and charges for labour. Here you do the work and pay for the bay by the hour.
- You buy your own parts, from anywhere you like.
- You keep the labour savings and know exactly what was done.
How it differs from your driveway
- A lift instead of jack stands on asphalt.
- A level concrete floor, a roof and bright light.
- Air tools and power, and no neighbour or HOA problem.
Who it is for
- Renters and apartment dwellers without a garage
- Students who fix their own cars
- Homeowners with a project and no lift
- Anyone who would rather learn the job than pay for it
What is not allowed
Welding, grinding, painting and body-filler work stay out of the bays. Tell us before you pull an engine or transmission.
Where to start
Pick a job in the DIY guides. Each one lists the tools, the parts and the bay you need, and the job planner gives you a time and cost estimate.
Questions
Do you do the repairs?
No. This is a self-service shop. You do the work and we provide the space, the lift and the equipment.
What do I need to bring?
Your car, a photo ID, your own hand tools, parts and fluids, and closed-toe shoes.
Is it safe?
Lift bays come with a safety walkthrough, and the shop rules cover lifts, stands and fire safety. Support the car on locks or stands before you go under it.
