RentABayNC is operated by River Rat Enterprises Inc on a booking platform provided by CTE Digital LLC, doing business as CTE Studios. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account and booking details: your name, email, phone, the bays and times you book, and your booking history.
- Waiver records: your typed name, the version of the agreement you accepted, the date and time, and the same for your helpers.
- Vehicle details: year, make, model and plate of the vehicle you bring, and any photos staff take of the vehicle and bay at check-in and check-out.
- Payment details: handled by our payment partner. We do not receive or store your card number. We keep a record of what you were charged. Our payment partner keeps your card details, so we can charge the fees in the Rental Terms when they apply.
- Photo ID check: staff look at your photo ID in person at your first visit to confirm who you are. We do not keep a copy or record your ID number. We note only that your ID was checked and the date.
- Messages you send us: what you write on the contact page or in an email to us, your name and contact details, and our replies. If you attach a file to an email, we do not store it on our website; staff can open it from the email service when needed.
- Cameras: video (no audio) from cameras on the premises.
- Site use: we use cookies only to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking pixels. To stop abuse, such as repeated sign-in guesses, we keep a scrambled one-way code made from your network address for up to two days. We do not store the address itself.
How we use it
To take bookings and payments, run your rental, keep a safety record, send confirmations and receipts, answer you, prevent fraud and damage, and meet legal obligations (including keeping signed waivers). We do not sell your information. We do not use your photos or image in advertising.
Texts and email
We email receipts, confirmations and changes to your booking. We do not send text messages or marketing email. If that changes, we will ask for your agreement first and update this policy.
Who we share it with
- The operator and the platform. River Rat Enterprises Inc runs the Shop; CTE Studios runs the booking platform. Both can see what is needed to run your booking.
- Service providers that process payments, send email and host the website, only to do that work for us.
- Insurers, professional advisers and authorities when needed to handle an incident, a claim, or a legal requirement.
How long we keep it
- Signed waivers and incident records: 5 years after your last visit. If an incident or claim involves you, we keep the related records until it is fully resolved and the time to bring a claim has passed.
- Booking and payment records: 7 years, for taxes and accounting.
- Check-in photos: 90 days, unless there is a dispute or incident.
- Camera video: 30 days, unless needed for an incident.
- Messages and replies: 2 years after the last message.
- Network-address codes: up to 2 days.
- Account details: until you ask us to delete them, except what we must keep above.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop texts or email, by writing to hi@rentabaync.com. We will answer within 30 days, and we will tell you if we cannot delete something because we must keep it (for example a signed waiver).
Security
We protect your information with access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Shop is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new date and, for material changes, email you.
